This work is inspired by the Umayyad art which ushered the birth of a great art known later "Islamic Art". The tree in this miniature structure is inspired by an image of a mosaic currently in Hisham's Palace in Palestine. The colors and light reflect the aesthetic of the Minnesotan woman this shrine was made after.
