Living ThreadsWhile interviewing the Palestinian woman who is the inspiration for this work I made this Maya mock up structure.
I mean it to loosely mirrors the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem both in colors and structure, namely the dome and the octagonal shape. The image on the right is made in Maya software. Three surfaces are seen. This will be the first encounter of the viewers with the installation. This is a model for a real life installation with individual panels of 6.5 feet wide and 8 feet high. The dome is 4.5 feet high. The panels will be made of screen printed canvas. The images below shows different vintage points as the viewer goes to the right and circulate around the structure. |
