Zaynab’s Night of Destiny is an 11‑image illustrated sequence created for Denmo Ibrahim’s children’s book and commissioned by Commonwealth Theatre Center. The series follows a young Egyptian immigrant through a Ramadan night of revelation and belonging. Made on Yupo with gouache and ink, these works pair careful figuration with unpredictable surface effects to mirror Zaynab’s interior journey.
